Iran's Seminary Scholars Pledge Allegiance to New Leader Ayatollah Khamenei

In a significant development following the passing of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, a "Seminary Scholars' Covenant" has been initiated by the Hawzah News Agency, formally declaring allegiance to the newly elected Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei.

The Hawzah News Agency extends its deepest condolences on the demise of Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei (RA), describing the late Leader as a "beacon of guidance in a global storm of oppression and misguidance." The statement highlights his divine insight, revolutionary asceticism, and unwavering commitment to upholding the banner of pure Muhammadan Islam. His wise leadership was credited with securing Iran's dignity, fostering unity in the Ummah, and initiating the movement towards a new Islamic civilization.

Following the election of a new leader by the Assembly of Experts, the seminary scholars across the country have issued this covenant, binding themselves to their new Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei.

In this pledge, the scholars affirm that continued adherence to the path of Wilayat (guardianship) is the secret to the stability and establishment of Islam in the contemporary world and the guarantor of the nation's independence. They emphasize the seminary's duty to be at the forefront of realizing revolutionary ideals and the Islamic civilization.

The key commitments outlined in the scholars' pact include:

  1. Obedience and Guidance: To follow the directives and guidance of the new Leader in the pursuit of knowledge, self-purification, and the propagation of divine teachings.
  2. Preservation of the Revolution's Legacy: To safeguard the intellectual and spiritual heritage of the Islamic Revolution through active and insightful participation in cultural, social, and political arenas.
  3. Serving the People: To position the Hawza as a center for awareness, unity, and sincere service to the people.
  4. Defending Islam: To rise in rational, ethical, and faith-based defense against global campaigns targeting Islam and the concept of Wilayat.

The covenant describes this pledge as one of "faith, duty, and love for God," taken on the axis of Wilayat until the reappearance of Imam al-Mahdi (may God hasten his return). Seminary members across the country have been invited to endorse and sign the covenant through a dedicated online link.
